Join a Group
Become a volunteer and lead on activism initiatives in your community. If you live in the province of Quebec, choose from Montreal Downtown Group 16, Montreal West Island Group 14, Concordia University, McGill University, Amnistie Francophone, Quebec City or the Eastern Townships. If you live outside of Quebec, find your closest Amnesty Group here.
Attend our Local Events
Our volunteers are always coming up with creative ways to encourage awareness about human rights issues. Won’t you help us spread the word? Join a Network
Professional Networks within Amnesty International Canada bring together men and women in specific professions who wish to use their special skills and influence to further the aims of Amnesty International. The Educators Network, for example, has a special interest in promoting human rights education, while the Medical Network assists in the diagnosis and treatment of victims of torture.
- The Legal Network comprises private and public lawyers, law students, legal academics, judges and other members of the legal community.
- The Medical Network is made up of physicians, nurses and other health professionals.
- The Artists Network brings together visual and graphic artists, film makers, musicians, singers and others in the artistic community.
- The Educators Network consists of teachers and other professionals in the field of education.
Amnesty also has several networks focused on human rights issues and problems in different parts of the world, including:
- The Youth and Student Network
- The Women’s Action Network
- The Urgent Action Network
- The Refugee Network
