On Monday, November 28th AI group 16 will be tabling at THE CROSSING. THE CROSSING (2015) by George Kurian travels land and sea with Syrian refugees who give a firsthand account of harrowing journeys to new countries and their feats of struggle and hope.
The screening will take place at 7:00pm at Concordia University in Room H110, 1455 de Maisonneuve West. Montreal premiere with director in attendance. This screening is in collaboration with the Concordia Council on Student Life, Amnesty International and is part of the Nations & Migrations program. The venue is wheelchair accessible. Entrance is by donation.
THE CROSSING takes us along on one of the most dangerous journeys of our time with a group of Syrians fleeing war and persecution, crossing a sea, two continents and five countries, searching for a home to rekindle the greatest thing they have lost – Hope.
